Whatever the reason, we’ve always believed Sunflower Caffè was made for bringing people together.

By day, our garden patio is filled with brunch, coffee, and the everyday buzz of Sonoma Plaza. In the evening, it transforms into something entirely different; a relaxed, intimate setting for celebrations of all kinds. Many people don’t know that we host private events in our outdoor garden patio year-round, so there’s really no wrong season to celebrate under the sun (or stars).

Our Sunflower Patio can be transformed for baby showers, cocktail hours, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate gatherings, fundraisers, holiday parties, wedding welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, wedding showers, and those celebrations that don't necessarily need a label.

Located directly on the historic Sonoma Plaza, our lush garden patio is surrounded by greenery, fountains, twinkle lights, and plenty of space for guests to eat, drink, mingle, and dance for up to 100 guests. Only 45 miles from San Francisco, it's a perfect Wine Country getaway that feels tucked away while still being right in the middle of downtown Sonoma. A combination that makes Sunflower a unique Sonoma event venue for locals and visitors alike. From long, warm Wine Country evenings to cozy fall celebrations and festive winter gatherings, every season brings a different personality to the space.

We take food pretty seriously around here, but we don't think your event menu should feel one-size-fits-all. That’s why our event pricing is designed to be flexible, with options for everything from a simple patio gathering to a full evening of food, drinks, and festivities. Our menu is just as flexible, so you can choose the bites, beverages, and level of service that make sense for your group. Our team works with you to create a custom event menu that fits the way you want your gathering to feel. Maybe that's passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while everyone mingles. Maybe it's appetizer stations and grazing platters. Maybe you have a particular dish, dessert, or dining experience in mind (or its just wanting a platter of our famous chocolate chip cookies).

Our in-house offerings can be customized to fit your event, and if you're dreaming of something outside our kitchen, we're happy to collaborate with an outside caterer or connect you with talented professionals in our network.

Bring Your Favorite People, Including Your Vendors

One of our favorite things about hosting events is seeing how differently people make the space their own. Have a florist you love? Bring them. Already found the perfect photographer? Great. Have a planner, baker, caterer, musician, or other vendor who's part of your vision? We welcome outside vendors and are happy to work alongside your team.

Yes, There Can Be Live Music (or a Magician)

What's a party without a soundtrack? The Sunflower Patio is equipped for music and offers space for live entertainment, making it easy to bring in a musician, acoustic band, or other entertainment that fits your celebration. Whether it's acoustic music playing in the background during cocktail hour or a dance floor that fills up as the evening goes on, the patio can shift right along with the party. For live music we can currently only accommodate acoustic players at this time (no amps or speakers).
